Digital Building Logbooks (DBL) and digital twins

Digital construction site registers (DBLs) and digital twins are Construction 4.0 tools that combine real-time data, documents and virtual models to monitor work from day one to building management. In this session, we will discover what a digital construction site register (DBL) is, understood as a digital record (digital construction site register or work log) in the form of a computerized file that replaces traditional paper documents. It records attendance, materials used and the daily progress of the work, helping to control costs and draw up progress reports (WPR). Finally, its transparency facilitates the sharing of information between designers, project managers and contractors. If we add to this a digital twin, i.e. a 3D virtual copy of a real building or construction site, constantly updated with data from IoT sensors, drones and cameras, the project ceases to be static.
