From tradition to industrialisation: the new construction paradigm

The transition from artisanal construction to industrialization moves construction production to protected and controlled environments, such as factories. This new way of building combines architecture and production, reduces material waste, speeds up construction times and improves final quality thanks to digital and repeatable processes. The key aspects of this change are: prefabrication, i.e. factory production and on-site assembly; improved control with fewer errors and greater safety on the construction site; the digital component with the use of virtual models to plan each phase; and finally, the environmental component: less waste and lower energy consumption.
