Renovation of Public Housing Stock: The first pillar concerns public and subsidized housing. The goal is to restore thousands of housing units that are currently unavailable because they are dilapidated, non-compliant, lack adequate utilities, or are occupied illegally. Priority will be given to buildings that are uninhabitable due to a lack of maintenance and to projects to upgrade utility systems. To implement the program, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation may award grants to entities operating in the public and social housing sector, including former IACPs. These entities are designated as implementing agencies.
